Overview of Organization:
The Office of Congressman Andy Kim (NJ-03) invites full-time interns to join its Washington, D.C. office. This internship provides an invaluable opportunity to gain knowledge of the functioning of Congress, and assist in the work done by Representative Kim to serve district NJ-03. Committed to providing a safe working environment, the office follows CDC and local health guidelines, offering flexibility for remote, in-person, or hybrid internships.

Internship Summary:
Interns at Congressman Andy Kim's office will engage in a range of responsibilities, including administrative, legislative, and communications tasks. From answering constituent calls to assisting with research and legislation, interns play a vital role in supporting the Congressman's staff. This internship is open to undergraduate students and recent graduates.

Responsibilities:
- Answering constituent calls
- Scheduling tours
- Writing press clips
- Drafting letters
- Sorting mail
- Assisting with research and legislation

Qualifications:
- Strong commitment to public service
- Exceptional communication skills
- Strong writing abilities
- New Jersey connections are a plus

About the Supervisor:
Gabriela Hartney is a Staff Assistant for Representative Andy Kim.

Location, Modality:
This internship will take place in person, in Washington DC.

Start and End Date:
Summer internships will take place during the period of June 10 - September 27 with specific dates to be determined by the employer partner and intern during the interview process.
