Internship Summary:
K.O. Strategies is seeking a dedicated summer intern to actively participate in various client projects. This internship provides an excellent opportunity to engage in substantive work, including grasstops outreach campaigns, strategic planning processes, and advocacy efforts. Under the guidance of Supervisor Katie O'Malley, interns will gain valuable experience in strategy development, execution, and client service.

Responsibilities:
- Contribute to grasstops outreach campaigns for a large corporate client
- Work on strategic planning processes for governmental and nonprofit clients
- Support advocacy, strategy, and business development initiatives
- Execute plans to raise awareness of advocacy and public policy services
- Engage in campaigns related to large regional economic development projects
- Develop and implement media engagement strategies

Qualifications:
- Have an interest in strategy and public policy
- Demonstrate commitment to excellent work product and client service
- Can work independently and meet tight deadlines
- Are flexible and adaptable to changing priorities
- Possess excellent writing and interpersonal skills
- Have strong organizational skills
- Are familiar with Google Drive, Word, and Excel
- Have familiarity with social media platforms, including Facebook and Twitter

Kate O’Malley is the founder and the CEO of K.O. Strategies.

Location and Modality:
This internship is hybrid modality with a preference for candidates based in Chicago.

Start and End Date:
Summer internships will take place during the period of June 10 - September 27 with specific dates to be determined by the employer partner and intern during the interview process.
