Internship Summary:
CSX Transportation is offering an internship opportunity in Government Affairs, providing a unique chance for interns to collaborate directly with seasoned professionals in responding to elected officials, communities, and appointed officials on matters impacting the railroad industry. Whether stationed in Washington or the Bedford Park office, interns will engage in meaningful work that leverages CSX's rich history and commitment to advanced technology to support national infrastructure.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in responding to inquiries from elected officials, communities, and appointed officials
- Collaborate with leadership to address matters impacting the railroad industry
- Gain exposure to the intersection of government affairs and advanced technology in the rail industry

Qualifications:
- Demonstrate adaptability and a proactive mindset
- Show a keen interest in the transportation and infrastructure sector
- Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills
- Familiarity with government affairs processes and procedures
- Strong organizational and time-management skills

About the Supervisor:
Tom Livingston is the Vice President of Government Affairs at CSX Transportation.

Location and Modality:
This internships will take place in either the Washington DC or Bedford Park, IL office of CSX Transportation.

Start and End Date:
Summer internships will take place during the period of June 10 - September 27 with specific dates to be determined by the employer partner and intern during the interview process.
