Internship Summary:
NVG is seeking an enthusiastic and energetic intern to join its team. This internship provides a unique opportunity to immerse oneself in the fast-paced operations of a lobbying firm. NVG encourages interns to engage in various tasks, ensuring a rich and educational experience. Under the direct supervision of the Intern Coordinator, interns will not only handle clerical work but also gain substantive experience in legislative affairs. Responsibilities:
- Attend committee hearings, policy briefings, or academic forums as needed, taking detailed notes
- Assist with administrative and clerical duties
- Conduct legislative research on key issues
- Support targeted outreach efforts for NVG-sponsored briefings or fundraisers
- Create data charts or PowerPoint presentations related to policy areas
- Compile and distribute daily news clips for staff
- Assist with various tasks and projects as needed or based on interest

Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic about legislative affairs and public policy
- Ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously
- Demonstrate a willingness to learn
- Possess strong writing and communication skills
- Expressed interest in health care, immigration, or education issues

About the Supervisor:
Kasayah Alexis is an associate at NVG.

Location and Modality:
This internship is hybrid modality with a preference for candidates based in Washington DC.

Start and End Date:
Summer internships will take place during the period of June 10 - September 27 with specific dates to be determined by the employer partner and intern during the interview process.
