Overview of Organization:
McLarty Associates (MA), a distinguished global strategic consulting firm, is offering a paid internship/graduate fellowship opportunity within its Mexico team. As a key player bridging the private and public sectors, MA specializes in addressing policy and government affairs issues globally.

Internship Summary:
Join the Mexico team at McLarty Associates as an intern/graduate fellow and engage in diverse projects across different engagement teams. These experiences will allow you to gain insight into the breadth of our work. Collaborate closely with professionals ranging from Associates to Directors, gaining hands-on experience in delivering strategic advisory services to multinational firms.

Responsibilities:
- Monitoring news outlets
- Preparing presentations, memos, and client deliverables
- Conducting research and analysis on diverse topics (e.g., electoral, economic, political)
- Assisting with firm-wide communications
- Supporting professional staff with office and administrative tasks
- Other duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications:
- Exceptionally organized, with an independent nature and strong critical thinking skills
- Proactive their approach to work, anticipating challenges and contributing innovative ideas
- Attentive to detail, capable of handling multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
- Proficient in business applications and media platforms (PowerPoint, Excel, Office 365)
- Solid understanding of the Mexican business landscape and political dynamics including, familiarity with the US-Mexico relationship
- Full fluency in Spanish (reading, writing, and speaking), experience conducting research in Spanish
- Excellent writing skills in English
- We require all our employees to be vaccinated against COVID-19. If you opt to perform this position in-person you will be required to provide proof of vaccination on your first day.

About the Supervisor:
Ernesto Truqui graduated from the Harris School of Public Policy and now works as an Associate supporting McLarty Associates Mexico Practice.

Location and Modality:
This internship is primarily remote, with a preference for candidates based in Washington DC. Virtual communication and collaboration will be emphasized.

Start and End Date:
Summer internships will take place during the period of June 10 - September 27 with specific dates to be determined by the employer partner and intern during the interview process.

Modality Notes

Hybrid modality. Intern could work in person 5 days a week or work remotely.
