Overview of Organization:
BallotReady is an award-winning startup working to help every voter in America cast an informed vote on every race. We create digital nonpartisan voter guides, and we build tools to help advocacy groups and campaigns mobilize voters, powered by the most comprehensive database on every level of government.

Internship Summary:
BallotReady's Marketing Internship is a comprehensive, hands-on introduction to top of the funnel digital marketing. This internship is an excellent way to not only learn about BallotReady's work in the civic space but also functions as an introduction to the work that goes into executing on the early stages of a standard sales funnel.

Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Marketing team and business stakeholders to design new creative to be utilized across digital channels
- Assist with social media campaigns, email campaigns, Search Engine Optimization (SEO)
- Researching elections, candidates, positions, and more for BallotReady’s tools
- Supporting day-to-day operations in different departments such as: sales/marketing, customer success, and data strategy

Qualifications:
- Exceptional analytical skills and problem solving skills.
- Experience with data visualization
- Working knowledge of digital design software
- Skill in communicating data-based findings to audiences who do not have data expertise

About the Supervisor:
You supervisor is Kunal Goel a growth Leader at BallotReady.

Location and Modality:
We’re 100% remote, which means we have staff across America. Prior to March 2020, BallotReady was Chicago-based, so a majority of our staff still live and work in the area. We hope to offer at least some opportunity for in-person socializing and/or coworking for interns, but this will depend on staff capacity and the state of the ongoing COVID-19 crisis.

Start and End Date:
Summer internships will take place during the period of June 10 - September 27 with specific dates to be determined by the employer partner and intern during the interview process.

Modality Notes

Our company is 100% remote but there may be opportunities for some in person engagement during conferences. We are flexible on work cadence and will just need to set up a weekly check in at minimum.
