Progressive prosecutors – who sought to reform the criminal justice system through methods like the elimination of cash bail, reduced incarceration and increased prosecutorial discretion – have come under fire, especially by Republican governors and lawmakers. Hear the perspective of three recent high-profile prosecutors – Chesa Boudin of San Francisco, Kim Foxx of Cook County and Wesley Bell of St. Louis – on successes, lessons learned, and the future of criminal justice reform. Emily Bazelon, staff writer for the New York Times Magazine and senior research fellow at Yale Law School, will moderate this discussion.
